Primrose Hill itself is a sizeable area of public parkland and open space, with the places nearby generally regarded as being some of the most desirable residential districts in London. Past and present residents of Primrose Hill include well-known actors such as Sienna Miller, Jude Law and Alan Rickman, prominent politicians such as David and Ed Miliband, and any number of other famous faces from London Mayor Boris Johnson to TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson. The areas around Primrose Hill are characterised primarily by very well-maintained Victorian housing stocks, and by great places to eat out, hang out and generally spend time.
